Question:My order for this coffee pot just came –it was made in china, not germany. why made in china? advertisement indicated germany.
Answer:I also assumed the coffee pot was made in Germany. I have no answer other than “cheaper” to make in China but this is indeed disappointing from a respected German brand.
The pot does perform well.

Question:Does anyone know how to not get that plastic smell and taste when making coffee with this machine?
Answer:Try putting vinegar in the pot about half full, and run that through this coffee maker…then run a pot of water thru it.
I myself, was very disappointed in this Krups coffee maker, it has several flaws I’m not happy with…brews like a cheap coffee maker, not
like the reputable name Krups use to have !

Question:Does this model take Krups water filters?
Answer:To my knowledge, I don’t believe it has a filter. The water I use for coffee comes thru my refrigerator filter.
