The Kestrel Drop D3FW Fire Weather Data Logger and Wireless Monitor
When managing a burn site, knowing environmental conditions are within prescription is important for compliance and to ensure a fire doesn’t get out of control. Gathering sufficient weather data from site visits to make a decision on when to burn can be challenging. In addition to the full wind and weather readings from a Kestrel weather meter, the Kestrel Drop D3FW data logger can be left on site, recording a history of conditions and trends which can then be viewed on a mobile device and shared via email.
The data logs are retrieved wirelessly and automatically through the Kestrel LiNK app when within range (up to 100ft.) of your iOS or Android device. Kestrel Drop data loggers are designed to be used anywhere you need to track environmental conditions.
Small, Accurate, Rugged and Waterproof
Each Kestrel Fire Weather Drop measures just 1 x 1.8 x 2.4 inches (24 x 46 mm x 60 mm) and weighs just 1.2 ounces (34 grams). DROP loggers meet military and international standards for water, dust and shock resistance (IP-67 and MIL-STD-810G) and are conveniently equipped with a sturdy D-ring for hanging wherever needed.
Use a Drop Anywhere – Small, Accurate, Rugged and Waterproof
The Drop employs a sealed precision thermistor to monitor and record temperature over an operational and specification range of 14°F to 131°F (10°C to 55°C) within +/- 0.9°F (0.5°C) accuracy. The humidity specification range is from 10 to 90%. Each Kestrel DROP is powered by one CR2032 lithium coin cell battery that will last up to 4 months (typical conditions and logging/connection settings).
